APH’s are insectivorous omnivores and should have a balanced diet that consists of cat or dog biscuit, wet food and insects so that they get all the nutrients they need, while maintaining the correct fat and protein ratio for your hedgehog’s activity level.
When your APH eats something that they really like, they may decide they want to cover themselves in the food, this is called annotating.
